Basketball Recap: Luca Kalishman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bosque over Del Norte

While it was all tied up 12-12 at halftime, Bosque was not quite Del Norte's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 43-34 to the Del Norte Knights. The match marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luca Kalishman, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Wilson, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Del Norte was led to victory by Angelo Bermudez and Francois Satchivi. Bermudez earned six points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Satchivi put up 12 points and five boards. Bermudez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Jayden Davis was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Bosque's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Del Norte, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.

Bosque wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-34 victory against Socorro on the 1st. As for Del Norte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-48 loss against Valley on the 31st.
