Verrado entered their tilt with Youngker on Monday with 16 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 17. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Roughriders. The Vipers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Nevaeh Romero was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Jaiden Stell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Verrado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Youngker only posted an OBP of .214.

Verrado pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Youngker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Verrado will square off against Canyon View at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vipers 2.5, the Jaguars 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Youngker, they will take on Carl Hayden Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
