Baseball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Varsity Opponent. The Leopards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Josue Corrales and Jadon Williams stepped up to the plate in a big way. Corrales scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Williams went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI. That run was Corrales' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Parker, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.

Coming up, Legacy will face off against Krum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-3 loss against Brownsburg on the 12th.
