Volleyball Recap: Calhoun's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Calhoun had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came out on top against the LaFayette Ramblers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

While Calhoun won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Gracison Saylors paced Calhoun's offense, picking up ten kills. Saylors got some help from Addie Hite and her 11 assists. Finally, Saylors was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for LaFayette, their defeat ended an 11-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 27-9.

Coincidentally, Calhoun and LaFayette will both be playing Adairsville the next time they take the court. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Ramblers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
