Basketball Recap: Fennville Comes Up Short

Fennville lost against Saugatuck back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fennville Blackhawks lost 56-33 to the Saugatuck Trailblazers. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 76th).

Fennville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Saugatuck, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fennville will face off against South Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saugatuck, they will venture away from home to take on Tri-Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
