            We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Hot Springs will be strutting in after a  win while Capitan will be coming in after a  defeat.
While Hot Springs'  victory against Lordsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Hot Springs had just enough and edged out Lordsburg  13-11. The  win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won eight in a row.
 Gabrial Varela and  James Oros Fuentes did most of the damage at the plate:  Varela  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  Fuentes  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Varela also  got two  hits, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Hunter Montoya, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Hot Springs  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .568. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  24-2 to Estancia.
 Hot Springs now  has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Capitan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
