Baseball Recap: Warren Central Takes a Loss

Warren Central might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Lawrence North who claimed the real prize. The Warriors fell 8-3 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Warren Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keith Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Kaiden Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Warren Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Lawrence North, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Warren Central and Lawrence North could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Warriors will face off against Southport at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (287 vs. 69). Meanwhile, Lawrence North (ranked 205th) will meet Park Tudor (ranked 51st) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
