Basketball Recap: Beechcroft Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Beechcroft challenged East on Friday. The Cougars took a 74-56 bruising from the Tigers. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daeshawn Fiore led the charge by putting up 23 points. Fiore's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davion Davis, who posted 20 points.

Beechcroft's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for East, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Beechcroft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-48 victory against Ponitz Career Tech on the 17th. As for East, they have also already played their next game, a 63-55 defeat against Rocky River on the 17th.
