Volleyball Recap: Buchanan Extends Winning Streak to Six

Buchanan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Clovis West Golden Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

While Buchanan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

Buchanan found their leader in sophomore Penny Garcia, who had 19 assists and three digs. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 34-8. As for Clovis West, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-13.

Coming up, Buchanan will square off against Clovis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
