Baseball Recap: Miller Find Success

Miller was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rim of the World Fighting Scots 6-4.

Ilya Ridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Miller saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Quintana, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Nathan Lora, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Miller now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rim of the World, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller will head out to face off against Rancho Verde at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rim of the World, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jurupa Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jurupa Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
