Soccer Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Staunton River on Tuesday, Franklin County came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the William Byrd Terriers on Friday. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Franklin County it sure didn't stay that way.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-2. As for William Byrd, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6-1 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Franklin County will face off against rival Fleming at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, William Byrd is set to challenge their familiar foe Staunton River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
