Basketball Recap: Pebblebrook Comes Up Short

Pebblebrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-37 loss at the hands of the Hillgrove Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Hawks are ranked 33rd).

Yolanda Floyd had a dynamite game for Hillgrove, going 9 of 19 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Floyd a new career-high. Ashley Harris was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five assists and three steals.

Pebblebrook's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hillgrove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Pebblebrook has already played their next game (against Centennial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hillgrove will be playing at home against Osborne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillgrove is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
