Soccer Recap: McCollum Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for McCollum after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Southside Cardinals by a score of 2-1. The Cowboys' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

McCollum's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Southside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, McCollum will be playing in front of their home fans against South San Antonio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McCollum is facing South San Antonio at the right time seeing as South San Antonio is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Southside, they will head out to challenge Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
