Volleyball Recap: Winfield Has No Trouble Against Chapmanville Regional

It's playoff time, and Winfield had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Chapmanville Regional Tigers 3-0 on Tuesday. The Generals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Winfield was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 25-10.

Brooklyn Cole paced Winfield's offense, picking up 14 kills. Cole got some help from Alexis Callahan and her 26 assists.

Winfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-12-2 record this season. As for Chapmanville Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, Winfield and Chapmanville Regional will both be playing St. Albans the next time they take the court. The Generals will host the Red Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
