ROBINSON, Texas - The defense did their part on the scoring end for for
Lorena (Texas) on Saturday, totaling five points as the Leopards upset
Robinson (Texas) 11-7.
After trailing 2-0 at the half, the Rockets went ahead on a touchdown with 10:00 to go in the third. Lorena finally took the lead for good when
Harris Coleman ran for a touchdown with 3:00 left in the fourth quarter.
By the end of the third, LHS found itself trailing by four points as Robinson captured the lead thanks to one score in the quarter. RHS scored on a touchdown in the quarter.
The Leopards didn't regain the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when Coleman ran for a touchdown.
Robinson's only touchdown came on a 20-yard pass in the third quarter.
Coming into the game Lorena had allowed 27.0 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, LHS came away with a 35-28 victory.
The loss comes after Robinson defeated Connally 58-55 last week.
In a 3A Region III District 17 game next week Robinson (7-1) takes on China Spring, and Lorena (7-1) will go up against West also in a 3A Region III District 17 game.
