Baseball Recap: River Mill Finds Home Field Redemption Against Clover Garden School

There's no place like home for River Mill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Clover Garden School Grizzlies on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars: when they faced off against the Grizzlies last Tuesday, they had to take a 15-5 defeat.

Owen Parrish was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Blake Lutterloh, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

River Mill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clover Garden School, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as River Mill Jaguars face off against Southern Wake Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clover Garden School, they will take on Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
