Sunnyslope had won seven straight games and Nathan Brown did his part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mesa Jackrabbits with plenty of help from Brown, who had 13 digs and one assist. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times he's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Mesa scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Sunnyslope's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.

Sunnyslope will venture away from home to square off against Brophy College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
