Boca Ciega took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pinellas Park Patriots 70-29. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anthony Brown was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Keshawn Andrews, who went 6-for-11 en route to 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Pinellas Park lost, don't look at Nikiez Surls. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points.

Pinellas Park is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Boca Ciega has already played their next contest, a 62-22 victory against Bayshore on the 21st. As for Pinellas Park, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on December 1.
