Basketball Recap: Fellowship Christian Takes a Loss

Fellowship Christian lost against Landmark Christian back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fellowship Christian Paladins took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Landmark Christian War Eagles. The Paladins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake Pollock was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 19 on his way to 26 points and five steals for Landmark Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Pollock has scored at least a third of Landmark Christian's points. Jo?Van Freeny was another key player, putting up five points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Fellowship Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Landmark Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Fellowship Christian has already played their next matchup, a 57-35 defeat against Whitefield Academy on the 17th. As for Landmark Christian, they will head out to challenge Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Business Engineering Science Tech is on a five-game streak of home wins, Landmark Christian a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
