Softball Recap: Yulee Extends Winning Streak to Three

Yulee waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the West Port Wolf Pack by a score of 5-1. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 victory the Wolf Pack walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2021.

The team relied heavily on Addison Kennedy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Yulee's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for West Port, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Yulee will take on Sarasota at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Port, they will challenge Venice at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Venice's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so West Port's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
