Football Recap: Jackson Central Merry Takes a Loss

If Jackson Central Merry was feeling good fresh off their 30-0 takedown of Brighton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars lost 45-21 to the Peabody Golden Tide on Friday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Golden Tide recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jackson Central Merry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Peabody, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Jackson Central Merry will head out on the road to challenge Huntingdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peabody, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Douglass at 7:00 p.m. The Golden Tide will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
