Basketball Recap: Syracuse Comes Up Short

Syracuse fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Wilber-Clatonia on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines. The Rockets have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Jameson Conway was a one-man wrecking crew for Wilber-Clatonia as he went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Conway a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Keslar, who posted ten points and three steals.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Wilber-Clatonia, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Syracuse will venture away from home to face off against Louisville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they will host Johnson County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
