Soccer Recap: Woods Charter Takes a Loss

If Woods Charter was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Central Carolina Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wolves fell just short of the Clover Garden School Grizzlies by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Woods Charter were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clover Garden School apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Woods Charter's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-1. As for Clover Garden School, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woods Charter will head out to face off against Southern Wake Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clover Garden School, they will take on Phoenix Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
