Basketball Recap: Paramus Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Seton Hall Prep

On Thursday, Paramus Catholic faced Seton Hall Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Paramus Catholic Paladins took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seton Hall Prep Pirates. The Paladins haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Hall Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Ante, who posted 21 points. Anthony Gonzalez was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and three steals.

Paramus Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seton Hall Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Paramus Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will venture away from home to square off against Payne Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
