Softball Recap: Marian Wins Going Away Against Notre Dame Academy

Marian barely beat Notre Dame Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Eagles on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Saturday.

Marian pushed their record up to 7-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
