Springville has gone 8-2 against Salem Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Springville Red Devils will take on the Salem Hills Skyhawks at 5:15 p.m. Springville is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Springville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Timpview.

Meanwhile, Salem Hills faced Wasatch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Salem Hills took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wasatch. The loss continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Wasps: they've now lost five in a row.

Springville will need focus on slowing down Reagan Beck, one of several Salem Hills players who made an impact when they last played. She went 5 for 9 on her way to 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Warren, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Salem Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Salem Hills, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3.

Springville skirted past Salem Hills 49-46 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Springville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Salem Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
