Preview: Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights vs. New Berlin Eisenhower Lions

The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Milwaukee Lutheran has four straight wins, New Berlin Eisenhower has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Tuesday, Milwaukee Lutheran humbled Shorewood with a 82-50 victory. Given Milwaukee Lutheran's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Shorewood is ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Milwaukee Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Allen, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Makhai Jewell, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Jewell hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Allen, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, New Berlin Eisenhower took a serious blow against New Berlin West on Tuesday, falling 79-49.

Milwaukee Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for New Berlin Eisenhower, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Milwaukee Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over New Berlin Eisenhower when the teams last played back in February of 2019, winning 95-88.
