Softball Recap: Elysian Fields Comes Up Short

Elysian Fields was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the Arp Tigers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

Elysian Fields' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Arp, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elysian Fields will take on Sabine in a tournament on Saturday. Elysian Fields has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Troup will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
