Basketball Recap: River View Takes a Loss

River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars 83-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 79-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Columbia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Cities Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
