Basketball Recap: Milano Comes Up Short

Milano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-25 defeat at the hands of the Elgin Wildcats.

Elgin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trinity Martinez, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 19 points and five steals. What's more, Martinez also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Alasia Brown was another key player, going 7 of 10 on her way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Milano's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Elgin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-20.

Milano didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-16 win against Holland on the 31st. Elgin has also already played their next match, a 55-41 defeat against Pflugerville Connally on the 3rd.
