Baseball Game Preview: Hammon Warriors vs. Mangum Tigers

The Hammon Warriors will head out to challenge the Mangum Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Hammon sitting on four straight victories and Mangum on five.

Hammon proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Leedey, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since March 28th.

Meanwhile, Mangum made easy work of Cordell on Tuesday and carried off a 20-3 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hammon pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mangum, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
