The Asheville Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Gaston Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Asheville Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Hendersonville 74-49 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Gaston Day on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Mountain View Prep out of the water with an 85-33 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-17.

Gaston Day is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Asheville Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Gaston Day in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 and fell 113-110. Can Asheville Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
