Centerville entered their tilt with Clinton-Massie on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Falcons. For the Elks, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

Caitlyn Belcher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Centerville's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lillie Hopf, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Chloe Jett was another, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Centerville pushed their record up to 12-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Clinton-Massie, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Centerville has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Beavercreek on the 19th. As for Clinton-Massie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-0 victory against Indian Hill on the 20th.
