Basketball Recap: Knott County Central Comes Up Short

Knott County Central lost against Hazard back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knott County Central Patriots received a blow as they fell 57-38 to the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs are ranked eighth).

Knott County Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Hazard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Knott County Central has already played their next matchup (against Bell County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hazard, they will host Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hazard is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Lee County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
