The Yellow Medicine East Sting will face off against the Lakeview Lakers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yellow Medicine East will be strutting in after a victory while Lakeview will be coming in after a loss.
Yellow Medicine East took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand MACCRAY a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Sting's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Bayli Sneller made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Yellow Medicine East got a big performance out of Alana Almich, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Riley Haar was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Yellow Medicine East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lakeview's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, falling 18-8.
The win got Yellow Medicine East back to even at 2-2. As for Lakeview, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Everything went Yellow Medicine East's way against Lakeview in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Yellow Medicine East made off with a 10-3 victory. Do the Sting have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
