Softball Recap: Midlakes Screaming Eagles vs. Newark Reds

Midlakes entered their tilt with Newark with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Newark Reds a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Midlakes has won four games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma LaBour and Kenzie Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, LaBour didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Turner pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, LaBour scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Turner scored a run while going 3-for-5.
