Basketball Recap: Mission Bay Takes a Loss

Mission Bay has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Augustine Saints. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Buccaneers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Saints are ranked 197th).

Mission Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for St. Augustine, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12.

Mission Bay will head out to take on University City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
