Football Recap: George Ranch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for George Ranch's offense. They were outmatched by the Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders and fell 42-0. The Longhorns have struggled against the Fighting Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, George Ranch still got an impressive performance from Hayden Drinkard, who rushed for 162 yards. Drinkard's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

John Hebert was his usual excellent self, rushing for 376 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per carry for Strake Jesuit. That's the most rushing yards Hebert has posted since back in November of 2024.

George Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Strake Jesuit, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, George Ranch and Strake Jesuit will both be playing Alief Elsik the next time they take the field. The Fighting Crusaders will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
