Baseball Recap: Cardozo Takes a Loss

Cardozo lost to Newtown on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Judges came up short against the Pioneers, falling 18-8. The Judges have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connor Cheung was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Sean Shawn was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Cardozo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Newtown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cardozo will head out to square off against Aviation at 4:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Newtown, they will venture away from home to take on Bayside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
