Softball Recap: Mariner Comes Up Short

The matchup between Mariner and Lynnwood on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Marauders lost 17-4 to the Royals. That's two games in a row now that the Marauders have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Mariner is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Lynnwood, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mariner will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lynnwood, they will challenge Archbishop Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
