Forrest came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Stewart County Rebels 11-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rockets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Tyler Baxter was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Branham Haynes was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Kason Fuller was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Forrest's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Stewart County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-17 record this season.
