Soccer Recap: West Charlotte Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

West Charlotte kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Berry Cardinals by a score of 3-2. West Charlotte have struggled against Berry recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Carlos Mendoza and Johnathon Santos scored both of West Charlotte's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

West Charlotte wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Ballantyne Ridge on the 13th. As for Berry, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 loss against Palisades on the 12th.
