Baseball Recap: Klein Takes a Loss

Klein was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tomball Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Tuesday.

Klein's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Tomball, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Klein will face off against rival Magnolia West at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tomball is set to challenge their familiar foe Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on April 12. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Tomball 2.4, Magnolia 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
