Recap: Fairwinds Christian Knights vs. Seaside Christian Academy Fighting Marlins
The Fairwinds Christian Knights's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They slipped by Seaside Christian Academy 36-35. Fairwinds Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Fairwinds Christian was led to victory by Gabby Johnson and Gabbie Moore. Johnson scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Moore scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least a third of Fairwinds Christian's points.
Fairwinds Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Seaside Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairwinds Christian will take on Chestertown Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chestertown Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Seaside Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bayview Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bayview Christian's defense has only allowed 21.4 points per game this season, so Seaside Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
