Volleyball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Midway lost against Forestburg back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Longhorns. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Longhorns 25-20 in the first set.

Midway started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Leading Forestburg to victory were Morgan Walker and Megan Bain. Walker had 16 digs, while Bain had 11 digs. Those 16 digs gave Walker a new career-high.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Forestburg, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Midway will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Forestburg, they will take on Gold-Burg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
