Softball Recap: Arkansas' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Arkansas dropped their record down to 11-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for White Hall, they pushed their record up to 20-9-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

For White Hall's part, not much got past Kenley Daniel, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Arkansas off the board. Daniel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Allie Rushing, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Ratliff, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Looking ahead, Arkansas will head out on the road to take on Hot Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Billies will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
