The matchup between Nevis and Red Lake on Thursday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 21-1 win. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Devan Lindow was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lindow was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs. Nevis is undefeated when Lindow posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

In other batting news, Nevis got a massive performance out of Marshall Kalm, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Blake Kowalke was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Nevis' victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nevis will welcome Cannon Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Red Lake, they will square off against Bagley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses dating back to last season for the Warriors and nine for the Flyers.
