Baseball Game Preview: Armijo Royals vs. Burbank Titans

For the first time this season, Armijo will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will welcome the Burbank Titans at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Saturday, Armijo didn't have quite enough to beat Laguna Creek and fell 3-2.

Chase Lewis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Juan Uscanga was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Burbank and Florin finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Thursday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Burbank's draw gives them a new season record of 5-4-1. As for Armijo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Armijo took their victory against Burbank when the teams last played back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 22-0. Will Armijo repeat their success, or does Burbank have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
