Basketball Recap: Eminence Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eminence can now relate to. They were dealt an 80-37 loss at the hands of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas on Tuesday. The Eels have struggled against the Pumas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Indianapolis Metropolitan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kwame Hawkins led the charge by shooting 75% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals. Hawkins is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played. Jaedyn Robinson was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Eminence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-7.

Eminence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they will square off against Greenwood Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Metropolitan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.7 points per game this season.
