Basketball Game Preview: Westfield School Hornets vs. Brookstone Cougars

Westfield School and Brookstone are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2023, but not for long. The Westfield School Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brookstone Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westfield School is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, everything went Westfield School's way against Strong Rock Christian as Westfield School made off with a 45-19 win.

Meanwhile, Brookstone played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against St. Anne-Pacelli, falling 60-20. The Cougars have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Westfield School is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Brookstone, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Westfield School was able to grind out a solid victory over Brookstone in their previous meeting back in January, winning 39-32. Will Westfield School repeat their success, or does Brookstone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
